Beginning the new year with a Chef Tour – Chef Perry tours the farm and gets ideas for new dishes. Examining the different flavor and qualities of the same plants grown to different sizes and in different environments, we experience new and surprising variations and shatter expectations. 2011 – More Greenhouses and More greens! Year Round.

Our Latest addition to our greenhouse production

It is 2011 and we enter the new year with several new hoop house greenhouses and our custom designed and built berry/ginger house shown here.

It might be frozen outside here in Virginia but we are still growing! We have fresh pea shoots, green and red sorrel, our full line of herbs, some tomatoes and english cukes, still keeeping a few hot peppers and jalapenos going, and our very Famous Baby Arugula and Micro Lettuce Mix – Baby Tasoi and Watercress too!

Our first crop of baby ginger! Wonderful sweet and tender. Grown as part of our high tunnel research and featured along with our Red Pepper Hot Sauce in the Historic Cutting of the First Virginia Grown Papaya in Williamsburg VA on 11.10.2010.
